Did You Make a New Year's Resolution For Your Business?

By Judy Stern, Marketing Manager

Happy 2015!

It’s the start of a new year and most of us have made personal resolutions trying to make this year better than last year. What about resolutions for our business?  Wouldn’t you like to be more profitable? Be more organized? Negotiate better pricing with your vendors? The list could go on and on….

What if Inspec could help you with at least some of these?

Calibration is essential to ensure the accuracy of your measurement equipment. Any measurement equipment that doesn't read accurately and repeatably can compromise the integrity of quality control, slow your manufacturing process and call into question all your measurement results. In the worst case, inaccurate measuring equipment can result in nonconforming parts (waste).  All of these increase your cost, decrease your revenue and lengthen your delivery times, which no business can afford for long.

Calibration represents an important manufacturing discipline and should be viewed as an investment, rather than an expense. By calibrating your equipment on a regular basis you save time and money.

Inspec’s calibration services span a broad spectrum from large machines to precision hand tools and everything in between, including electronics.  All of which are calibrated per specific standards and are traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).

For gages and precision hand tools we offer onsite (at your facility) or in-house (at our facility) calibration services and new for 2015, we now offer advanced scheduling for in-house services.  Our normal turn-time for in-house calibration is 10 days, if you pre-schedule your calibration the turn-time drops to 5 business days, with no additional cost!  In a hurry?  Rush services are also available for an additional investment.  Just let the sales staff know your timing needs when you request your quote, and we’ll take care of it from there.

For large machines, in addition to regularly scheduled calibration, we also recommend calibration after a move, repair or retrofit or, at a minimum, interim checks to verify that the system remained accurate.

Want to lower your calibration costs?  All of our calibration services are also available on a contract basis as well.  If you contract with Inspec to provide all your calibrations for a time period, say a calendar year, or multiple years, we are prepared to offer you additional cost savings benefits.

Did you know that all of the equipment we calibrate can be tracked through InspecGAGE, our equipment tracking and management program?  And it’s available to you too!  If you’d like more information about this service just give our gage department a call.

By choosing Inspec to calibrate your gages, you can concentrate on providing top quality products to your customers.  We look forward to talking with you about all the ways Inspec can save you time and money in 2015 and beyond.
